Anna Savoy

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Anna Narcisse Savoy, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 11 am on Thursday. Rev. Michael Sucharski will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Anna was a devout Catholic who enjoyed attending Mass every weekend. She loved driving around town in her Red Mustang and making an occasional stop along the way to visit with her family and friends. Anna also enjoyed working in her yard; she was meticulous and took great pride in maintaining a beautiful yard and a clean car. She was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals for her family and friends to enjoy. Anna will forever be remembered as a very giving person who gave advice to the young in hopes of teaching them the value of life. She is survived by her son, Thomas Gilbert Savoy and wife, Michelle, of Tacoma, WA; her brother, Martin Bernard Narcisse of St. Martinville; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Augustin and Victoria Louviere Narcisse; her beloved husband, Murphy Savoy; her son, Robert J. Savoy; and her sister, Mary G. Wiltz.
