St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Annabelle Toot Talley Alba, 92, who passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Bethany Healcare in Lafayette. ; Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officate the service. Scriptures will be read by Christie Babineaux LeBlanc and William Poche. Gift bearers will be Seth Matherne, Peyton Matherne and Bryce Russell. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Alba Russell (Lionel) of Marrero; her son-in-law, Dr. Mosey Rausch of Lafayette; her sister, Lydia Nin Babineaux of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Theresa Russell Matherne (Kenneth) of Marrero, Lauren Rausch Poch (William) of Lafayette, Jennifer Rausch of Lafayette and Scott Russell of Marrero; her great grandchildren, Seth Matherne, Peyton Matherne and Bryce Russell all of Marrero. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Laurance Bijeaux Talley; her husband, Nicanor Nick Alba; her daughter, Marlene Alba Rausch; her grandson, Lionel Lonnie Russell, Jr.; six brothers, Abel Talley, Walter Moon Talley, Clovis Talley, Dan Talley and Lawrence Lloyd Talley and one sister, Alene Malcolm. Annabelles family would like to thank her caring nieces and nephews for the pass pa touts and to the wonderful, compassionate staff of Bethany Healthcare and the Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Bethany Healthcare in Lafayette or The Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Pallbearers will be Dr. Mosey Rausch, Scott Russell, Kenneth Matherne, Seth Russell, William Poch, Gerald Talley and Roland Talley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lionel Russell, Peyton Matherne and Bryce Matherne. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
