Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Annadel Alexander Pete, 85, who passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, in Lafayette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:00 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home (Carver Street Chapel). A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Mass. Scriptures will be read by Neoshia Frederick and Diamond Nelson.
Gift Bearers will be Ashantae Judge and Brydon Williams. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. Annadel was known for her exquisite way of baking and cooking; when she prepared a meal, you knew it was from her heart. She also enjoyed attending Bingo, sewing, and watching the beautiful flowers grow in her yard that she planted.
She is survived by her son, Leroy Pete, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; sisters, Lada Pitt of Breaux Bridge and Verna Calais and husband Louis of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Christopher Zenon of Cecilia, Christina Judge and husband Michael of Breaux Bridge, Brandon Pete and wife Kristi of Cecilia, Gabriel Cooper and wife Latoya of Lafayette, and Diamond Nelson of Lafayette; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lovancia and Mary Thomas Alexander; her husband, Leroy Pete, Sr.; and her sister, Hilda A. Noel.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Calais, Leroy Calais III, Roland Frederick, De'antrell Adair, George Williams, and Fabian Amest.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Judge, Caden Judge, Kavon Judge, Ayden Frederick, Brandon Pete, Brandon Pete, Jr., Kason Pete, Traylen Williams, Brydon Williams, Randall Davis, and Craig Alexander.
