Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Annette Broussard Delahoussaye, 91, who died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder will be the celebrant of the funeral mass.
Mrs. Delahoussaye was a social worker with the State of Louisiana for over 20 years. ?She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Ladies Altar Society. ?A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred Paul Delahoussaye of Siler City, North Carolina and Abe Anthony Delahoussaye II, and his wife, Alene Yamamoto Delahoussaye of New York; one daughter, Marie Delahoussaye Diaz and her husband, James E. ""Jim"" Diaz, Jr. of Lafayette; and seven grandchildren, Brianna Marie Delahoussaye of North Carolina, Susannah Yamamoto Delahoussaye and Aimee Nakashima Delahoussaye, both of New York, Ruth Madeleine Diaz, Joseph Edward Diaz, Martha Elizabeth Diaz, and Annette Catherine Diaz, all of Lafayette. She is also survived by two nieces, Elizabeth Clause Campise and Caroline Clause Garcia, both of Houston, TX, and many loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abe Anthony Delahoussaye; her parents, Alfred and Marie duBernard Broussard; her sister, Odile Broussard Clause; and a grandchild, Emmanuel Michael Diaz.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening by Deacon Butch Hebert and again at 10:00 a.m. on Monday by the Catholic Daughters.
Memorial donations, in her name, may be made to the St. Martin Parish Library or to a charity of your choice.
