Annette Melancon

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 9, 2007, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Annette C. Melancon,81, who died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Fr. Chang, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church will conduct the services. Annette enjoyed cooking and quilting. Survivors include her sons, Lynwood Melancon and his wife, Terry of Henderson and Dale Melancon and his wife Edna of Nina; her brothers, Francis ""Papout"" Castille and Felix ""Peco"" Castille both of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Lita C. Cormier of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Jeane M. Theriot, Crystal Melancon, Eric Melancon, Danielle Melancon, Michelle Melancon and Cody Melancon; her great grandchild, Laurance Barkley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Melancon; her parents, Valsin and Martha Landry Castille; her brother, Holden Castille; her sisters, Rena Thibodeaux, Eunice LeBlanc and Birdie Wiltz. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 am till 10:00 pm, Sunday, April 8, 2007 and continue at 7:00 am till 10:30 am, Monday, April 9, 2007. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 8, 2007. Pallbearers will be Lynwood Melancon, Dale Melancon, Eric Melancon, Cody Melancon, Kent Theriot and Felix ""Peco"" Castille. Honorary pallbearers will be Francis ""Papout"" Castille and Gilman Cormier.
