Annie Mae Maturin

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM , Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Annie Mae Maturin, 95, who died Sunday, September 11, 2011 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jude Thierry will be the Celebrant. Born on January 26, 1916 to Adam and Edora Comeaux Gary in Coteau , LA , Annie Mae retired as a cafeteria manager for New Iberia Senior High. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family and friends, she will be missed dearly by all those who loved her. Survivors include her son, Elwood Bergeron of Bridge City , TX ; her son-in-law, Mike Breaux of New Iberia ; her sister, Nell Vaughn of Loreauville; her half sister, Leah Romero of New Iberia ; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Woodland Bergeron; her 2nd husband, Aladia 'Blackie' Maturin ; her daughter, Rona Breaux; her daughter-in-law Dolores Bergeron, her brothers, Wilbert and J.D. Gary; her sister, Thelma Barbier; her half sister, Ada Boutte Pallbearers will be Glenn Breaux, Mike Breaux, Joshua Breaux, Cade Breaux, Kevin Bergeron and Duke Word. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM Wednesday.
