St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Anthony Joseph ""Pecan"" Randazzo, 85, who passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, in St. Martinville
Rev. Fr. Austin Leger, Pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?Readers will be Maria Roe and Van Randazzo. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren.
Mr. Randazzo was a social worker with the Department of Welfare and was also part owner of Spanish Trail Golf Club. ?He was a member of Tejas Vaqueros.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite D. Randazzo, of St. Martinville; four sons, Dr. Henry C. Randazzo, of Palm Springs, CA, Lon J. Randazzo, of St. Martinville, Francis Karl Randazzo and his wife, Susan, of St. Martinville, and Van P. Randazzo and his wife, Dianne, of Houston, TX; two daughters, Toni Marie Rowe and her husband, George, of St. Martinville, and Marguerite ""Pie"" Yongue and her husband, James, of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Aline Larson, of St. Martinville; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Russo Randazzo; and a brother, Samuel Randazzo.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
Pallbearers will be his four sons, Jake Randazzo, and Matthew Randazzo.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
