Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Antoine J.N. Credeur, Sr. , 77, who passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 pm on Saturday by Wildie Degeyter.
Eldridge, Derrin will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville.
Antoine enjoyed baling hay, farming, raising animals and tending to his farm. He also loved dancing, entertaining his family and friends while cooking his favorite meals. Antoine loved playing with his grandchildren and speaking French to everyone. Antoine will be remembered for his big strong heart that gave him the will to live and his blue eyes that would light up a room and expressed love and kindness to everyone.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene C. Trahan and husband Alvin Ray of Arnaudville; sons, Jason John Credeur and wife Cheryl Ann of Arnaudville, Antoine J.N. Credeur, Jr. and wife Marsha of Arnaudville; sister, Earlie May "Rose" C. Laneaux of Lafayette; grandchildren, Braylon Jason Credeur, Brittany Ann Credeur, Joshua Jacob Credeur, Jerad Anthony Credeur, April Nicole Blood, Amber Lynn Credeur, Destiny Rose Trahan, Aryonna Rae Trahan; great-grandchildren, Ayden Jacob Credeur, Jacie Grace Credeur, Braxton Caleb Blood, Callie Ann Credeur, Landon Scott Credeur, Avlynn Nicole Blood, Drayden Joseph Guilbeaux, Kayden John Bernard, Karson Anthony Credeur and Levi Anthony Credeur.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aleus Credeur, Sr., mother, Denize Credeur, wife, Hilda Ann Credeur, brothers, Aleus Credeur, Jr., Antoine J.B. Credeur, Joseph Jessie Johnson Credeur, Calvin Credeur; sister, Verna May C. "Vergie" Dunn.
Pallbearers will be Jason Credeur, Antoine Credeur, Jr., Alvin Trahan, Braylon Credeur, Chancey Bernard, and Jerad Credeur.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Trahan.
