Antoine Lenes Guidry Sr.

New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia, for Antoine Lenes Guidry Sr., 91, who passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Mr. Antoine enjoyed playing music, cleaning house, working in his yard, and watching western movies. He cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially for family gatherings. He is survived by his daughter, Geraldine "Gee" Romero and husband Terry of New Iberia, LA; sons, Vanice "Boo" Guidry and wife Helen of New Iberia, Doug Guidry and wife Amy of New Iberia; grandchildren, Michelle Hulin, Chasity Abshire and husband Nathan, Shane Derouen and wife Mary, Chad Derouen and wife Lita, Mickey Guidry and wife Brittany, and Mercedes Guidry; great-grandchildren, Ashley Romero, Kylie Luquette, Kelsey Luquette, Dexter Derouen, Jillian Derouen, Bobby Derouen, James Derouen, Sara Derouen, Remi Guidry, Marlee Guidry,and Samuel Guidry; great-great grandchildren, Landyn Romero and Kinzlee Segura. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Duhon Guidry; parents Olvia and Lufra Guidry; son, Antoine Lenes Guidry, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Guidry Breaux. Pallbearers will be Vanice Guidry, Shane Derouen, Chad Derouen, Kenny Dugas, James Derouen, Bobby Derouen, and Dexter Derouen. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Abshire, Douglas Guidry, and Terry Romero. The family would like to give special thanks to Seth Porche with Heart of Hospice, Sandy Gaspard, Steve LeBlanc, and Kenny and Chris Dugas for the love and care during Mr. Antoine illness.
