St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Friday, January 25, 2013, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Antonia Gautreaux Theriot, 92, who passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kealey Berard and Courtney LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be McKenzie and Delany Westcott. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Theriot was a lifelong parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society, an adorer in the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She loved working at the Petite Paris Museum, which gave her an opportunity to visit with numerous tourists, and as a pastime enjoyed reading and watching television. Antonia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved her family unconditionally. She was a wonderful cook and looked forward to cooking for family gatherings. She is survived by three sons, Ernest 'Jay' Theriot, Jr. and wife, Louisette, Chris Theriot and wife, Eve, and David C. Theriot and wife, Marie; her daughter, Judy Westcott, all of St. Martinville; 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest J. Theriot, Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Marie Gaudin Gautreaux; and her son-in-law, Larry Westcott. Pallbearers will be Gary Westcott, Gus Westcott, Curran Westcott, Luke Berard, Lee Theriot, Kerry Theriot, Chad Theriot, David L. Theriot, and Brennan Westcott.
