Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Armond Johnny Courville, 83, who passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am on Wednesday.
Rev. Brian Webre will officiate at the Funeral Service.
Johnny belonged to the Masonic Lodge in New Iberia. He was a Korean War Combat Disabled Veteran. Armond cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially spending time with his dogs. He obtained a private pilot license and enjoyed flying, woodworking, and working on his tractor. He took pride in keeping up his property and making sure his property looked neat. He enjoyed making pencil holders in his woodworking shop to give away to family and friends, and he was a very loving, compassionate husband.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Courville of Breaux Bridge; his brothers, Clarence Courville and wife, Sue of Henderson and Clevan Courville and wife, Rita of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Romona Carmichael and husband, Oliver of Lafayette and Gail Chautin and husband, John of Breaux Bridge; his brothers-in-law, Rickey Menard of Erath, Rixby Menard and wife, Ruth of Erath, and David Menard and wife, Tammy of Breaux Bridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaston and Amelina Latiolais Courville; his maternal grandparents, Alexander and Leah Robertson Latiolais; his paternal grandparents, Sosthene and Marie Daigle Courville; his sister, Anna Mae Olivier; his brother, Douglas Courville; and his step-mother, Celestine Courville.
