Arthur Timothy Ames

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2006, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Arthur Timothy Ames, 20, who died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at his residence. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Arthur enjoyed playing basketball, riding with his friends and spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann Ames of Opelousas; his brother, Arthur Carmouche of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Shamika Ames of Lafayette, Lakersha Ames and Cintrill Batiste, both of Breaux Bridge; his maternal grandfather, Leroy Ames, Sr. of Cecilia; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clement Batiste of Breaux Bridge; his nieces, Breonna Broussard of Lafayette, Skyler Batiste and Cordel Batiste, both of Breaux Bridge; and his nephew, Mekhi Babineaux of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Batiste; and his maternal grandmother, Nola Mae Brown. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. on Monday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
