Ashlynn "Princess" Grace Blanchard

"Princess" Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Monday, June 29, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Ashlynn Grace Blanchard, 3, who passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2015, and continue until 10:30 am on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Steven LeBlanc will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Ashlynn was a princess who loved life and never met a stranger. She was full of joy and light. She was very imaginative and creative and loved animals. Ashlynn was expressive in what she liked or disliked. She was loved by everyone who knew her and although her time on earth was short, her memory will live on in the hearts of many. She is survived by her father, Scott Blanchard; mother, Abbie Trahan and fianc Daniel Fontenot; her siblings, Gaige Thibodeaux, Alyssa Blanchard, Damien Blanchard, Andrew Blanchard, and Wynter Fontenot; her grandmother, Gail Trahan and companion "Pop Gee"; her grandfather, Eddie Menard, Jr; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Leola Blanchard; brother, Ashton Trahan; uncle, Brandon Blanchard; great-grandmother, Daisy Blanchard; great-grandfather, Darrell Blanchard; great-grandmother, Gertrude P. Myers; great-grandfather, Ellis Paul Trahan. Pallbearers will be Cody Abshire, Trinty Slade Miller, Cole Trahan, Eddie Trahan, Matthew Abshire, and Gabriel Abshire. Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Abshire, Christian Abshire, Jonathan Abshire, Nicholas Abshire, Daniel Fontenot, Gavin Abshire, Gaige Thibodeaux, Adam Holbert, and Hershal Gerard.
