Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Audrey Genevieve Perrio Albert, 80, who passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at her residence. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Father Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The reader will be Wildie Degeyter. Gift Bearers will be Agnes Patin and Sam Blanchard. Audrey was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowerbeds. Audrey enjoyed staying home and visiting with her family and friends, especially her sister-in-law, Jeanette, who has provided her with 24-hour care these last couple of years. The family would like to acknowledge her step niece and nephew, Pauline and ;Chris, who ;were at her side during her final days. They would also like to extend special thanks to, Agnes Patin, Wildie and Lloyd Degeyter, Sam Blanchard, Doug Forestier, Iris Guilbeaux, and Bob Theriot, who continually visited her on a regular basis, she always looked forward to their visits. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Jeanette Perrio, of Breaux Bridge; her nephew, Whitness Gary, of Breaux Bridge; her step niece and nephew, Pauline and Chris Toutcheque, of St. Martinville; and her cousin, Agnes Patin, of Breaux Bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Albert; her parents, Octave and Elmire Dumatrait Perrio; and her brother, Lester Perrio. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited by Wildie Degeyter at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Degeyter, Chris Toutcheque, Wade Toutcheque, Whitness Gary, Doug Forestier and Allen Boudreaux. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
