Barbara Ann Guidroz

Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Barbara Ann Guidroz, 75, who passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. 

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday.

Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kelly Cormier Breaux and Kim Cormier Hebert.  Katie Douet, Charli Romero, Britney Bienvenu and Demi Guidry will serve as gift bearers.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Barbara lived her life for her husband of 57 years, her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Barbara and the love of her life enjoyed French and Country dancing with friends and would take every opportunity they got to enjoy this passion of theirs.  Their favorite vacation was trips to Florida and they always looked forward to this annual family tradition.  Spending time on the beach with family created memories that we will forever cherish. 

She loved spending time with her family and never missed a day without calling to check up on everyone.  She touched the hearts of everyone and left a huge impact on their lives. To say she was so loved is an understatement.  She was known as Maw to her grand and great grandchildren but the name and love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she was called Maw by so many others who loved her the same. She never met a stranger and always welcomed every soul she met with open arms.  Her home was open to everyone no matter the time of day.  No one ever left her home without a heart full of love and a full belly.  She was the kind of Mother and Grandmother that we all strive to be.  She will be missed by so many.   
 
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Guidroz; four daughters, Phyllis Frederick, Tricia Bienvenu (Coleman), Kasi Romero (Casey), and Krystal Guidry (Richard); son, John "Dee Dee" Guidroz (Yvonne); eleven grandchildren, Katie Douet, Kody  Hebert, Chase Guidroz, Drew Guidroz, Karson Guidroz, Britney Bienvenu, Tyler Bienvenu, Charli Romero, Austin Romero, Jace Guidry, and Demi Guidry; nine great grandchildren, Ava  Douet, Ayden Douet, Alec Douet, Kohen Douet, Ella Hebert, Jax Guidroz, Emma  Guidroz, Kai Guidroz, and Briar Meche; and her sister-in-law, Linda Cormier.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Francis Credeur Boutin; grandchild, Ava Douet; father-in-law, Earl Guidroz; mother-in-law, Winola Guidroz; and her brother-in-law, Ricky Cormier. 
  
Pallbearers will be John Guidroz, Kody Hebert, Drew Guidroz, Tyler Bienvenu, Austin Romero, and Jace Guidry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Karson Guidroz, Ayden Douet, Alec Douet, Kohen Douet, Ella Hebert, Jax Guidroz, Emma  Guidroz, Kai Guidroz, Briar Meche, Casey Romero, Richard Guidry, Coleman Bienvenu, Kevin Douet, Mitchell Meche, Ronnie Guidroz, and Chase Guidroz.
