New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Barbara Ber Hebert, 77, who died Monday, May 28, 2012 in Baton Rouge . Interment will follow in the Beau Pre Cemetery , in Jeanerette. Born on December 5, 1934 , Mrs. Hebert was a great sports mom, cook, and creative homemaker who enjoyed entertaining and hosting family gatherings. Her hobbies included dancing, sewing, and playing tennis. She is survived by daughter, Karen Clements and husband Joseph of Baton Rouge; sons, William Scott Hebert and wife Ria of Lafayette, Ronald James Hebert and wife Shelby of Bakesfield, CA, Keith Michael Hebert and wife Karen of Baton Rouge; sister, Betty Waggenspack of Franklin, Mary Carol LeBlanc and husband Tommy of New Iberia; brother, Warren Ber and wife Frances of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Lauren Clements Bourgeois and husband Jacob, Katherine Cecilia Clements, Riley James Hebert, Alli Aime'e Hebert, Cayla Hebert, Ezra Hebert, Yannik Hebert, and Brady Michael Hebert. She was preceded in death by parents, Warren and Marjorie LaFleur Ber; and a brother, Johnny Ber.
