Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Barbara Ann Landry, 60, who passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday at Pellerin Funeral Home on Carver & Dauterive St. in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kelia Landry and Gift Bearers will be Rakivan and Sharaven Evans. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Barbara enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, going on trail rides, and she especially loved listening to Zydeco music. What Barbara treasured most of all in life were the times spent with her family and friends. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Tracey) Landry, Sokiro (Shawanna) Landry, and James Batiste; three sisters, Jacklyn Francis, Drucella Recks, and Priscilla Broussard; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; close cousin, Carlotta Huval, who was like a daughter to her; a close niece, Leona "Yawn" Edmond; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Eula Demouchet Landry; her daughter, Trinica Landry; her son, Christopher Landry; four brothers, Wilbert LeBlanc, Carrol Landry, Terry Landry, and Darrell Landry; three sisters, Margie Edmond, Theresa Landry and Joyce Landry; one niece, JoAnn Demouchet; and two nephews, Alton Francis, Jr. and Murphy Edmond. Pallbearers will be Michael Landry, Sokiro Landry, James Batiste, Javon Broussard, Shavar Francis, and Kendrell Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Batiste and Alvin Demouchet.
