Barbara Verret

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Barbara Robicheaux Verret, 76, who passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Mark Derise will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. Native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Verret was born on January 19, 1943 to Mitchell and Mary Ann Delcambre Robicheaux, and was a graduate of New Iberia High School. She enjoyed shopping, going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Verret, Sr. of New Iberia; mother, Mary Ann Delcambre Robicheaux of New Iberia; son, Larry Verret and wife Tracy of New Iberia; daughter, Jamie Romero and husband Kevin of New Iberia; grandchildren, Macy Romero, Braidon Bijeaux and companion Nicole Dorsey, Taylor Guilbeau and husband Nick; great grandchildren, Malaya Guilbeau, Kyra Guilbeau; brothers, Michael Robicheaux and wife Theresa of New Iberia, Gregory Robicheaux and wife Susan of New Iberia; sisters, Brenda Rouly and husband Kenneth of New Iberia, and Nanette Tutt and husband Kyng of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Robicheaux. Pallbearers will be Guy Robicheaux, Ian Robicheaux, Braidon Bijeaux, Thomas Aucoin, Shawna Primeaux, and Kenny Luke.
