New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Assembly Christian Church in New Iberia, for Barry J. Landry, 54, who passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, in Covington.
Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau.
Rev. Paul Neel will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
A native and lifelong resident of Coteau, Barry was born on October 1, 1961, and was a 1980 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. He worked for International Paper for over 30 years, and was the co-owner of Uncle B's Kitchen in Coteau. Barry was very family oriented. He enjoyed baseball with his grandchildren, spending time with his family, deer hunting, fishing, and horses.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Robichaux Landry of Coteau; son, Dustin P. Landry and spouse Maria Comeaux of Coteau; daughter, Mindi Prioux and husband Christopher R. Prioux of Coteau; mother, Eldred LeBlanc Landry of Coteau, LA; twin brother, Larry J. Landry and wife Angela of Coteau; grandchildren, Nathan Prioux, and Natalie Prioux.
He was preceded in death by father, Earl Landry.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Landry, Christopher R. Prioux, Sean Romero, Kyle Romero, Logan LeBlanc, Christopher Stoltz, Troy Romero, and Lance LeBlanc.
