Batistine Huval

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Batistine ""Batoute"" Thibodeaux Huval, 95, who passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Rev. Fr. Louis Allen Breaux , will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?The readers will be Danny Caillier and Sheryl Broussard, and the gift bearers will be her grandchildren. ""Batoute,"" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family while music played and the echoing sounds of footsteps dancing were brought about the room. Survivors include one son, Robert Huval and his wife, Barbara, of Cecilia; one daughter, Mary Lou H. Caillier and her husband, Ralph Caillier, Sr., of Breaux Bridge; 14 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Evans Huval; one daughter, Geraldine H. Hebert; one granddaughter, Kimberly H. Periou; her parents, August and Bertha Berard Thibodeaux; her foster parents, Robert and Henrietta Dupuis; four brothers; and three sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Shane Caillier, Kaylor Frederick, Robbie Huval, Aaron Broussard, Dylan Latiolais, Scott Latiolais, and Keree Frederick. The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to her granddaughter, Hope Hebert, who provided her with loving care and lived with her for 15 years. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
