Batmonce Lanclos

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson, for Batmonce Jean Lanclos, Jr, 79, who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Lanclos was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson, Louisiana. He was the son of Batmonce Lanclos, Sr. and Adolisca Daigle. Batmonce worked most of his life in the oilfield. He loved to fish, hunt, and listen to music. He touched the lives of many people with his smile and jokes and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Survivors include his sons, Jesse Lanclos and his wife, Vickie, and Gary Lanclos and his wife, Shannon; his loving and caring companion of 15 years, Mary Ann Savoy; his sister, Hazel Lormand; his brother, August Lanclos; his grandchildren, Angela Trahan, Jesse Lanclos, Jr., Crystal LaVergne, Blayke Lanclos, Taylor Lanclos, Skipper Andaya, and Robbie Andaya; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Trahan, Ethan Lanclos, Gabriel Lanclos, Kyli Lanclos, and Gabe Andaya. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Eloise Landry Lanclos; his daughter, Ramona Andaya; his parents; his brothers, Wilson Lanclos, Darcy Lanclos, Gladu Lanclos, Leroy Martin, and Carol Martin; and his sisters, Ophelia Hayes, Martha Badon, Beatrice Brasseaux, and Ethelie Horton. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 8 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be recited by Hazel Lormand at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jesse Lanclos, Gary Lanclos, Skipper Andaya, Robbie Andaya, Jesse Lanclos, Jr., and Ward Lormand. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Trahan and Gabe Andaya. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
