Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Beatrice Robertson DeRouen , 84, who passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm on Friday. Fr. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Beatrice worked for many years at J.C. Penny's in the shoe department and after retirement, returned to Louisiana to live on the family property. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by everyone. She is survived by her two daughters, Shellia DeRouen and Cindy (Keith) VanderHart of Sammamish, WA; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Merrill, Summer Warner, Dannielle McCoy, Shellia Merrill, Isaiah Merrill, Layla Reilly, Craig VanderHart and Kristine VanderHart; 9 great grandchildren;1 great-great grandchild; and two sisters, Rita Begnaud and Mary Begnaud. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Robertson; mother, Hilda Patin Robertson; brother, Cleveland Robertson; sisters, Mary Robertson and Yvonne St. Julien. and a grandchild, Paul Derouen.
