Beau Stephen Simmons

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Beau Stephen Simmons, 38, who passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 9:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Shasta Bertrand and Erin Reed. Gift bearers will be Nick Peltier, Mattie Coco, Bella Simmons, and Gabbie Peltier. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Beau was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to Mark and Jessie Peltier Simmons. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandson, and friend. Beau enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his children, wife, and his parents. He liked working in his yard, hunting, fishing, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Beau will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Poirier Simmons; parents, Mark and Jessie Simmons; son, Grant S. Simmons; daughter, Isabella Simmons; stepsons, Christian Jude and Chandler John Rees; stepdaughter, Kennedy Lynn Rees; maternal grandmother, Eula Peltier; and paternal grandmother, Betty Simmons Arnold. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Irby Peltier; paternal grandfather, Roy Simmons; and uncle, Scott Douglan Simmons. Pallbearers will be Christian Jude Rees, Chandler John Rees, Hunter Peltier, Shane Guidry, Clyde Peltier, and Scott Peltier.
