Cecilia - A Funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Bernadette Potier, 61, who passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Iberia Medical Center.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 9:30 am on Saturday.A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday.Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Bernadette was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed going to the casino, visiting and having dinners with her family and friends, cruising in her convertible mustang, doing her hair and nails, and listening to music, especially Christmas music. Everyone loved her. She was always so friendly to everyone she would meet. Bernadette will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Debrica Robert (Leon Adam); son, Elonzo Potier (Ja'Kiera Hawkins); brothers, Joseph Williams (Mary Lorena Hamilton), John Wilson Williams (Sarah Morale), Calvin Jolivette, Melvin Jolivette, and Evan Jolivette (Mary Nicole Etienne); sisters, Joeann Williams (John Ricky Champagne) and Lou Anna Williams (Marshall Alexander); grandchildren, Kaylie Leday, Dwayne Robert, Noah Robert, Segan Celestine, Syeah Celestine, Ja'Kalen Potier, Alonna Potier, and one grandchild on the way, Avery Robert; and her special friend, Patricia Batiste.She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lee Williams and her companion John Henry Gabriel; father, Lester Joe; brother, Lawrence Jolivette; maternal grandmother, Felcia Arceneaux Babineaux; two uncles, Wilfred Arceneaux and Samuel Arceneaux; and one nephew, John Williams, Jr. Pallbearers will be Chris Jolivette, Alfred Williams, Jameson Williams, Keldrick Zeno, Sebastian Calais, Delcur Potier, Jason Willis, and Kelvendrick Zeno.Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia, 2238 Bushville Hwy., Cecilia, LA 70521, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.<iframe class="ts_player" allowfullscreen="true" allowtransparency="true" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" frameborder="0" height="330" scrolling="no" src="https://www.tributeslides.com/videos/embedded_video/RLRJM6KMCWLMTS6Z" width="512"></iframe>
