Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Bernard Junior Alexander, 58, who passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday.
Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Bernard will be fondly remembered for his kindness, giving heart and sense of humor as he loved playing jokes on everyone. Along with serving as President of the Hip Hop Ghetto Riders Association, he also enjoyed playing baseball and visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Tessa Landry Alexander; sons, Kenny Mouton and wife Shirley, Leonard Rogers, Danny Mouton and Tyrell Livings of Breaux Bridge, and Hayden Clawson of Catahoula; daughter, Stacey Etienne of Henderson; step-sons, Theron Savoy and Donvon Savoy of St. Martinville and Brendan Savoy of Lafayette; stepdaughter, Lasandra Savoy of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Patrick Alexander, Sr. and wife Pamela Steward, Shelton Alexander and wife Dawn, and Rickey Alexander and wife Sandra of Breaux Bridge, Clifton Alexander, and wife Norma of Houston, TX and Carlton Alexander and wife Mary of Crowley; sisters, Patricia Alexander, Rita Charles and husband Edward and Sarah Lewis of Breaux Bridge and Shirley Charles, and husband Joseph of Cecilia; step-sisters, Sylvia Randall, Carolyn Roberts, Freda Randall, Rita Randall, Tracey Landry, and Chantella Alexander; step-brothers, Lee Randall, Danny Randall, Washington Alexander, and Kareem Alexander.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Caffery and Mary Zenobia Alexander, Sr., and brothers, Caffery Alexander, Jr. and Freddie Alexander, Sr.
