Parks - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, June 19, 2009, at Parks Baptist Mission Church in Parks, for Bernetta Haddock Moore, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.
Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Pastor Rob Burdeaux and Rev. Jessi Charpentier will conduct the services.
Bernetta loved children and after raising 7 children of her own she went back to college to get her degree and taught 4th grade until her retirement. She loved to read was an avid sewer and quilt maker and loved her flower garden. She loved her two beautiful cats, Priscilla and Bill who were great company. Every day of her life was lived to the fullest. We will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy Moore and his wife, Marilyn of Mandeville, Danny Moore and his wife, Nancy of Hartselle, AL, and Darryl Moore and his wife, Moana Kea of St. Martinville; her daughters, Linda Edwards and her husband, Jerry of Huntsville, AL, Bridget Ferguson and her husband, Tom of Aubrey, TX and Patricia Kathy Landry of St. Martinville; her brothers, Don Haddock and Forest Haddock; her 21 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Ida Benoit Haddock; her husband, Thomas Moore, Jr.; her daughter, Mary Anne Moore; and her brother Gordon Haddock.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue at Parks Baptist Mission Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Moore, Ben Moore, Logan Moore, Zachary Moore, Joshua Moore, Jerry Edwards, Jason Edwards and Jonathan Landry.
Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Ferguson.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
