Bertha LaGrange

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, May 17, 2010, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Bertha Miller LaGrange, 82, who passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Opelousas General Hospital. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery. Reverend Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Danielle Guidry and Rhonda Guidry. Gift Bearers will be Tonia Robert and Vanessa Weaver. Bertha was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed cooking, watching her stories, and spending time with her family and friends. Bertha was a very respected mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. Survivors include her three daughters, Beatrice Bergeron and her husband, Seville, of Leonville, Mary Alice Bergeron and her husband, Donald, and Geraldine Guidry and her husband, Donald, all of Arnaudville; one sister, Hilda Berard, of Arnaudville; 10 grandchildren, Tonia Robert, Vanessa Weaver, Phillip Bergeron, Nicole Comeaux, Amanda Bernard, Billy Guidry, Grant Bergeron, Danielle Guidry, Victoria Bergeron, and Dylan Bergeron; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Joseph LaGrange, Sr.; two children, Lucien LaGrange, Jr. and Elaine LaGrange; an infant granddaughter, Donna Faye Bergeron; her parents, Neoda G. and Adolph Miller, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday evening Pallbearers will be Seville Bergeron, Donald Bergeron, Donald Guidry, Phillip Bergeron, Grant Bergeron, Billy Guidry, and Dylan Bergeron.
