St. Martinville - A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Bertha Washington Mallery, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday. Pastor Robert Lyons will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at House of Love Cemetery in St. Martinville. Ms. Mallery enjoyed listening to music, cooking, shopping, and walking around visiting with family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Marshall and husband Emite of St. Martinville, Diane Mallery of TX, Alice Mallery of St. Martinville, and Stephanie Flugence and husband Christopher of New Iberia; sons, Felton Mallery and wife Gloria of St. Martinville, Melvin Mallery of New Orleans, Gilbert Mallery and wife Shontelle of St. Martinville, and Wilbert Mallery of Breaux Bridge; sisters, Judy Parker of New Iberia, Cindy Galentine and husband Allen of New Iberia, and Linda Parker of New Iberia; brother, Elliott Parker and wife Sharon of Abbeville; 27 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, John Sam Washington; mother, Evelyn Zepherine Jack; sons, Payton Mallery and Alfred Mallery; daughter, Patricia Mallery; sister, Mary Washington.
