Bertha Marie Perriou

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Bertha Marie Guidry Perriou, 87, who passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 at J. Michael Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Paul Broussard, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Mrs. Perriou enjoyed cooking and sewing and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include three grandchildren, Ronald Periou, Michael Periou, and Karen Periou Wilkes, all of LaPorte, TX; four great grandchildren, Cody Martin, Chase Martin, A. J. Wilkes, and Ryan Wilkes, all of LaPorte, TX; one brother, Alan Guidry, of Marrero, LA; and one sister, Edith Windmann, of New Orleans, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy N. Perriou; and her son, Bobby Periou. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8 a.m. on Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
