Bertha Mae Willis

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2019, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Bertha Mae Willis, 89, who passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Monday. Father Michael Champagne will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Bertha was a devoted and faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Bertha also enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her birthday club friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Matthew Willis and wife Colleen; daughters, Callie Waldrep and husband Gerald, and Teressa Darnell and husband David; brothers, Moise "MJ" LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Aeola, and Hardy LeBlanc and wife Elaine; sister, Rena Courville and husband Guy; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Moise and Julia Hardy LeBlanc, Sr. ; husband, Charles "Boy Boy" Willis; daughter, Leslie Louviere; and son-in-law, Thomas Louviere. Pallbearers will be David Darnell, Gerald Waldrep, Brian Sanches, Brent Latiolais, and Robert Dupuy.
