Bertrand Melancon

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2005, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Bertrand Melancon, 76, who died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at his residence in Henderson. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Survivors include his wife, Mary Cil Melancon of Henderson; his brother, Clarence Melancon of Cecilia; and his sisters, Cecile LeBlanc of Henderson, Marie M. Patin of Henderson and Rhena M. Guidry of Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignace and Louise Melancon; his brother, Dewey Melancon; and his sister, Rita Blanchard. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
