Bethany Blake Harris

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Bethany Christine Blake Harris, 37, who passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Sam McPeek and Rev. David Denton will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A native of Slidell, Bethany was born on December 14, 1978, and has been a resident of New Iberia since 2002. She was a graduate of LSU, and was a teacher at Highland Baptist Christian School. Bethany brought others to Christ with her patience and kindness. Bethany enjoyed life's simple pleasures like coffee on weekend mornings, dinner with friends, and church on Sunday morning. She also enjoyed trips to Cypremort Point, relaxing at the beach, watching her children enjoy Disney World, fashion, and interior design.. Survivors include her husband, Andrew Harris of New Iberia; children, Lillian Harris, Elizabeth Harris, Charles Harris all of New Iberia; parents, William and Janice Langston Blake of Picayune, MS; sister, Dawn Levy of Picayune, MS; and a brother, William T. Blake of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Blake, Sr., Maryland Langston, Joseph Langston; and a daughter, Olivia Pearle Harris.
