Betty St.Julien Collins

Lydia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, for Betty St. Julien Collins, 76, who passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Entombment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, in Patoutville.

Rev. Chester Arceneaux will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 7:00 am until 10:15 am at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am.

A resident of Grand Marais, Mrs. Collins was born on February 10, 1947, to the late James and Lillian Matthews St. Julien. A devout Catholic, she loved praying her rosary and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Mrs. Collins was also a member of the Ebonette Pokeno Club and the Grand Marais Coffee Crew. She will be deeply missed by everyone.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her loving husband, Alton Collins; three children, Corey Collins (Sheri), Cindy Boutte (Nelson), and Courtney Fremin (Brenon); two brothers, Andrew St. Julien (Marilyn) and Patrick St. Julien (Patricia); grandchildren, Amber Jacobsen, Jordan Collins, Kanani Collins, Kainoa Collins, Nelson Boutte, Jr., Kristen Jolivette Lewis, Lauren Jolivette, Mason Boutte, Zoie Fremin, Maddix Fremin, and Ella Lou Fremin; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Walter Collins; mother-in-law, Louella Boutte Collins; brothers-in-law, Richard Collins and Miguel Trujillo; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Collins Ocampo.
