New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in New Iberia for Betty Jo Deville Chauvin Feller, 90, who passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, in New Iberia.
Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
Rev. Scott Bullock will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Feller was born on November 10, 1926 to the late Theodule Henry Deville and Corrine Louise Trimble Deville. She retired as a records clerk from the New Iberia City Police Department, and was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Feller was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Hodowners Square Dance Club, Senior Friends Group at Dauterive Hospital, Exercise Group at the Presbyterian Church, and played Pokeno for many years,
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Feller and wife Linda of Jeanerette, Jimmy Chauvin and wife Tisa of New Iberia, John Chauvin and wife Ellen of New Iberia, Jerry Chauvin and wife Joni of New Iberia; daughters, Dianne Fletcher and husband Avon of Harper, Texas, Cindy Kern of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, April Feller of New Iberia; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Alvin "Pop" C. Feller; son, Robert Feller, grandchild, Melissa Davidson, son-in-law, Byron Kern, and her first husband, James H. Chauvin, Sr.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Christi, Niki, Jeremy, Jennifer, Shawn, Shane, Janie, Jacie, Pearl, Wayne, Robert, Chris, Eric, Ryan, and Rusty.
The family would like to give special thanks to Myra, Barbara, Beverly, Linda, and the staff at New Iberia Manor South, especially Carla, Regina, and Rhonda.
