Betty Jo Freeman

Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Betty Jo Freeman, 52, who passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until 10:15 am. A 1984 graduate of Loreauville High School, Betty Jo was born on December 4, 1966 to the late Burley Hebert, Sr. and Betty Dupre Hebert. She enjoyed going on family vacations and spending time with her family and friends. However, what she cherished most was being a Mom to her loving kids and a Nana to her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Darrin James Freeman of Coteau; son, Darrin Joseph Freeman and wife Britni of Coteau; daughter, Holly Jo Freeman and fiance' Logan Rivette of Broussard; brothers, Kim Hebert and wife Tootie of Loreauville, Burley Hebert, Jr. of Loreauville, Joey Hebert and wife Tracy of Loreauville; sisters, Bonnie Pommier and husband Tommy of Loreauville, Bobbie Kay Maturin and husband Bobby of Loreauville, Robbie Babineaux and husband Chad of New Iberia; grandchildren, Zoey Freeman, Amelie LaBiche, Luke Freeman; and her husband’s parents, Robert and Edna Freeman of New Iberia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Hebert. Pallbearers will be Austin Louivere, Logan Rivette, Todd Elliot Cuccio, Dustin Babineaux, Joey Hebert, and Robert Freeman.
