Betty Ann Landry, born on September 16, 1973, bid her final farewell to this world on June 25, 2023. She was a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many with her kindness and hard work. Throughout her life, Betty made significant contributions to both her community and those around her.
After graduating from St. Martinville Sr. High, Betty embarked on a fulfilling career as a clerk with The Arc of St. Martin. She dedicated herself to serving others and brought joy to many through her profession. Her commitment to her work was truly admirable, as she approached each day with unwavering dedication and a warm smile that could light up any room.
Betty will always be remembered for her infectious personality - she never met a stranger. Her genuine compassion and ability to effortlessly connect with others made everyone feel valued and loved in her presence. Those lucky enough to have crossed paths with Betty were blessed by her generosity of spirit and genuine care for their well-being.
Outside of work, Betty delighted in various hobbies and interests that brought immense joy into her life. She had an eye for fashion and loved shopping for the latest trends. Her creativity knew no bounds as she immersed herself in activities like coloring and jewelry making - leaving behind beautiful pieces that serve as lasting reminders of her artistic talent.
Betty was always ready to take a ride anywhere. She didn't like to stay too long in one place because she always had other things on her agenda. Betty enjoyed making jewelry, coloring, and spending time with her friends at the ARC. She didn't like to talk much on the phone, unless it was with her best friend, Jodi.
In addition to the joy she brought to others' lives through her work and hobbies, Betty also displayed immense courage by pursuing one of her passions beyond the boundaries of ordinary life. She showcased her talent as a contestant for The Arc Dancing with the Stars alongside former Mayor Eric Martin. This endeavor not only demonstrated her determination but also served as an inspiration for all those who had the pleasure of witnessing her graceful moves.
Betty leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and genuine kindness. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the indelible impressions she left upon them. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
As we celebrate Betty's life and bid her farewell, let us remember the lessons she taught us - to approach each day with kindness, to cherish our loved ones, and to live life to its fullest. May her soul find eternal peace and may her light continue to guide us through our own journeys.
She is survived by her step-father, Clesma "Cam" Albert; brothers, Chad Albert (Melissa), Jeremy Landry, Troy Landry, Rusty Landry, and Clayton Albert; special cousin who cared for her, Melinda Sieber; and her aunt, Olivia (Barry) Landry.
