Betty Perron Savoy

New Iberia - Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Betty Perron Savoy, 73, who passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Rev. Aaron Weido will officiate. Interment will be at a later date. Mrs. Savoy was born on October 6, 1941 to Renise and Irene Guillory Perron, and was employed as a teacher's aid with the Iberia Parish School Board for over 29 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Julius Savoy, Jr. of New Iberia;, daughters, Carrie Harper and husband Robert of Greenwell Springs, and Bridgett Marcell and husband Thaddeus, Jr. of Berwick; sisters, Joan Matt and Judy Berzas both of New Iberia; brother, Ferrel Perron and wife Debbie of Coteau; grandchildren, Sean Millette and wife Amanda of New Iberia, Austin Millette of New Iberia, Lexi Marcell of Thibodaux, Cody Harper of Greenwell Springs, Brittani Marcell of Berwick, Zachary Harper of Greenwell Springs; step grandson, Chase Harper of Kenner; and a great granddaughter, Evelyn, due to arrive in July. She was preceded in death by her parents.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Arc of Acadiana, 6400 W. Highway 90, New Iberia, LA 70560.
