New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM, on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Betty Tauzin, 55, who passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, in New Iberia Interment will be at a later date A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Betty was born on July 27, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to Moise Tauzin and Yvonne Ann Barilleaux. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her companion of 17 years, Joseph Toucheque of New Iberia; children, Derek Tauzin and wife Deidre of Walker, Joey Mitchell Toucheque of Duson, Adam Joseph Toucheque and wife Lorin of Kileen, Texas, Alicia Raye Toucheque of New Iberia, Michelle Trahan and husband James of Duson; brothers, Darrell Tauzin of New Iberia, Kenneth P. Tauzin and wife Christen of Youngsville, Pete Tauzin and companion Linda of New Iberia; grandchildren, Dana Tauzin, Cailen Caldwell, Chloey Tauzin, Dasia Tauzin, Derek Paul Tauzin, II; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by father, Moise Tauzin; mother, Yvonne Ann Barilleaux Romero; and sisters, Brenda Tauzin Maturin, and Cindy Tauzin Grow.
