Beverly Derouen Geoffroy New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Beverly Derouen Geoffroy, 81, who passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 PM, led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Rev. Bill J. Melancon will be the Celebrant. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Beverly Ann Derouen Geoffroy was born on June 29, 1935 to the late Kelly and Lilly Bodin Derouen. She was a 1953 graduate of New Iberia High School, and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing card games on the computer, and in her younger years, belonged to a Pokeno group. Beverly was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Shirley Geoffroy; daughters, Jill Romero and husband Eric of New Iberia, and Phyllis Guillot and husband Jimmy of Kilgore, TX; brothers, Clyde Derouen of Arizona, and Michael Derouen of New Iberia; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey Guillot of Kilgore, TX, and Kamryn and Matthew Romero of New Iberia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a sister-in-law, Joy Derouen.
