Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Bill J. Garcia, Jr. , 70, who passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of service at 3:00 pm on Saturday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Memorial Service. Interment will follow at a later date. Bill worked at Cargill Salt mine for over 55 years. He was a member of the Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Department for 5 years and a member of the Quarterback club. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, and vacationing with his family. Bill especially loved going on adventures with his grandson, Andon. "Houston, we have a problem!" was their shared expression. He will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Garcia; son, Blaine Garcia; daughter, Billie G. Robin; grandchild, Andon Robin; siblings, Linda C. Domingue, Regina C. Rouly (Mark), John Garcia (Malise) and Amanda Garcia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Alridge Cormier; dad, Emile Cormier; mother in-law, Hazel Degeyter; and sister in-law, Irene LeBlanc; and his biological father, Bill Garcia, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
