Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Billie Guidry Myers, 58, who passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:15 am. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jerri Abshire and Cindy Dupuis. Gift Bearers will be Jayda and Kelsea Boutin and Jenna Savant. Her eulogy will be given by Alex Allemond. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in Henderson. Billie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She was like a sister to her nieces. Billie never met a stranger - those who knew her loved her, and she loved them as well. She had a lot of religious faith and throughout her illness, she fought a valiant fight. She is survived by two sons, Chance P. Myers and his companion, Rachel Theriot, and Jude A. Myers and his companion, Monique Huval; her brother, Burt Guidry and his wife, Renella; two sisters, Doris Patin and her husband, Earl 'To-Bit', and Lou Guidry and her husband, John Carey; and her grandson, Donovan Latiolais. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell James Myers; an infant daughter, Kacie Marie Myers; her parents, Ivan and Birdie Dupuis Guidry; and a brother, Errol James Guidry. Pallbearers will be Donovan Latiolais, Rohde Guidry, ;Lyle Guidry, Gene Myers, Mark Guidry, and Shawn Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Boutin, Zack Taylor, Brock Melancon, and Orie Savant.
