Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks for Billy Ray Wiltz, Sr., 64, who passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am until time of service at St. Louis Chapel in Parks.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Donovan Labb will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Billy was born in Lafayette to the late Lionel and Mazel Hypolite Wiltz. He was a member of True Friends and the American Legion. Billy enjoyed fishing, cooking, listening to music outside (Isley Brothers), and drinking his Bud Light. He was a very devoted and loving family man and a loyal Saints fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Lashanda Renee Wiltz; sons, Billy Ray Wiltz, Jr., and Brian Anthony Wiltz, Sr. and wife Margarita; grandchildren, Taylyn Wiltz, Brian Anthony Wiltz, Jr., Markaylan Wiltz, Jaylan Wiltz, and Dylan Derouselle; great-grandchild, Kayonie Trenae Francis; sister, Debra Wiltz; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ann Wiltz; parents, Lionel and Mazel Hypolite Wiltz.
Pallbearers will be Brian Wiltz, Sr., Billy Wiltz, Jr., Kenneth Nelson, Sr., Kenneth Nelson, Jr., Shannon Skipper, and Melvin Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Wiltz, Jr., Dylan Derouselle, Gerald Joseph, Jr., Jude Richard, Kourtney Nelson, Calvin Johnson, Harris Joseph, Carter Joseph, and Rufus Joseph, Jr.
