Birdie Stelly Courville

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Birdie Stelly Courville, 87, who passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 am until 1:45 pm on Tuesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Tuesday, by Deacon Ken Soignier. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mrs. Courville was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. As a pastime she loved to watch tennis. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Addie J. Courville; three sons, Wayne (Wanda) Courville, Glynn (Samantha) Courville, and Dana (Ronda) Courville; two daughters, Phyllis Howard and Anne (Steve) Lewis; her brother, Harris (Karen) Meche; her sister, Connie (Bill) Booth; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Stelly and Lucille Stelly Meche; two brothers, L. J. Meche and Dennis Meche; her sister, Julia Meche; and a grandson, Kurt Howard. Pallbearers will be Chase Courville, Troy Lowe, Cody Lewis, Shane Courville, Damien Curtis, and Brandt Poche. Honorary pallbearers will be Glynn Courville, Harris Meche, and Harlan Courville.
