Blaine Paul Blanchard

Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Blaine Paul Blanchard, 47, who passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Rev Richard Fabre will officiate at the Memorial Mass. Blaine enjoyed watching TV, listening to music, having company, and being entertained by his puppy, Mac. Blaine is survived by his devoted and loving family: his parents, Whitney and Flora Castille Blanchard, of Parks; his sister, Paula Melancon and husband, Linsey, of Parks; his niece, Paige Reed and husband, Chris, of Parks; a nephew, Jake Melancon of Parks; a great nephew, Beckett Reed of Parks; and his maternal grandmother, Yola Castille, of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leland Castille; and paternal grandparents, Abel Blanchard and Edna G. Blanchard. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to his caregivers, Paula Melancon, Judy Alexander, Melinda Landry, and Kim Ruiz, for the attentive and wonderful care given to Blaine over the years.
