Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Monday, December 29, 2014, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Blaine Joseph Richard, 17, who passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Father Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures for the service will be Arnold Smith and Brandy Gravouilla. Serving as gift bearers will be Ashley Richard and Debbie Hutto. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Blaine was a football player for Cecilia High where he was also an honor student. He loved to go hunting, fishing and just spending time with his dad, who was his best friend. He loved to draw and his drawing placed 1st in the parish for suicide prevention. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his father, Joseph Richard; his mother, Katina Richard; paternal grandparents, James and Cathy Richard, maternal grandparents, Earl and Lena Richard, Arnold and Susan Smith and Wayne and Maureen Bergeron, his brothers, Dylan Smith, Jacob Richard, Austin Richard and Hunter Richard; his sister, Kaylin Richard; his niece, Stacey Richard; his nephew, Carson Brasseaux; his uncles, Ryan and Jason Richard; his cousins, Breckyn Matthieu, Ahna Richard, Abee Richard and his pets, Deacon and Snapper. He is preceded in death by his mother Stacey Richard; his niece, Gracie Claire Richard; paternal great grandparents, Cecile and Sylvester Olander, Sr., Germaine and Jean Batiste Richard; maternal great grandparents, Ella and Frank Guidry, Sr., Melanie and Joseph Richard, Octavia and Ovide Stelly and Yyes and Clement Bergeron; his uncles, Shannon Richard and Carl Bergeron and his cousin, Halie Castille. Pallbearers will be Dylan Smith, Jacob Richard, Austin Richard, Hunter Richard, Ryan Richard and Jason Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be James Richard and David Morrow.
