Blair Therese Barras

Catahoula- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Blair Therese Barras, 32.

Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Blair Prados and Danielle Huval.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Blair was born May 25, 1990, in Lafayette. She enjoyed being outdoors: riding 4-wheelers, kayaking, staying at her family's houseboat, and fishing. Blair loved being with her family, especially making memories with her two children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents, Kimball and Jamie Barras; daughter, Brooklyn Marusak; son, Oakland Marusak; brother, Blake Barras (Jennifer); niece, Kelsey Doiron; great niece, Audrey Duplechain; nephew and godchild, Kaden Barras; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Mire of St. Martinville; paternal grandparents, Lorita Barras of Catahoula and Verna Magee of Henderson; and her aunt, Liz Mire, who was like a second mother to her.

She is preceded in death by her cousin, Jude Barras; and her paternal grandfather, Nootsie Barras.
