Bob Henry Broussard Sr.

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Bob Henry Broussard, Sr., 76, who passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia from 7:30 am until 9:45 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Tuesday. Rev. Ugochukwu Jerome Cletus SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Bob was a retired deputy with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Department for many years. He was a graduate of Carver High School, where he played baseball. Bob loved spending time with his family and friends, but especially his son, Bob, Jr. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son, Bob Henry Broussard, Jr.; grandson, Robert H. Broussard, III; adopted mother, Clara M. Broussard; step-mother, Clara D. Broussard; brothers, Farris (Debbie) Broussard, Patrick Broussard, Ivory Lee (Suzie Derousselle) Broussard; sisters, Mary Barbara Benjamine, Delores Menard, Linda Broussard, Glenda (Jamal) Dupas, Melissa Broussard, Evelyn Broussard and Norma Broussard; life-long friends, Earl Broussard and Wilfred Cluse; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousin. He was preceded in death by his son, Elliot James Broussard; parents, Clarence Broussard and Ella Morale Broussard; brothers, Russell Broussard, Clarence Broussard, Michael Broussard and Harry Lee Broussard; sister, Mary Lou Della Broussard; and adopted father, Calmon Broussard. The family wishes to give a special thanks to JoAnn Bogan for the care she provided to Bob during his battle with cancer.
