Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Bobby E. John , 69, who passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readings will be read by Shirley Thibodeaux. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren, De'Andre John and Ah'Nae Mitchell. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Bobby was a member of True Friends of LaPoint. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football. Bobby coached little league baseball, enjoyed traveling with his family and sitting on his porch talking to his many friends. He is survived by his daughters, Aisha John and Casey John; brother, Michael John and wife Betty; sisters, Mary Ann Anthony and husband Larry, and Marsha Joseph and husband Christopher; and his grandchildren, De'Andre John and Ah'Nae Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda John; daughter, Elmarie Cortoria John; grandson, Kel'be John; parents, Tarlton and Marjorie John; brother, Kirby Davis; paternal grandparents, Martin and Louisiana John; and maternal grandparents, Adolph and Elydia Francis. Pallbearers will be Oscar Hughes, Warren Celestine, Donavon Francis, Michael John Jr., Harvey Celestine, and Ivory Stagg, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael John, Sr., De'Andre John, Harry Francis, Larry Anthony, Christopher Joseph, and William Richard.
