Bobby Irving Jones

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Bobby Irving Jones, 86, who passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Jones was a member of the Knight of Peter Claver and a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where he served as an Usher for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching sports, and working in his yard. He was known to be very meticulous about maintaining his yard and was very proud of his hard work. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Isabelle Thomas Jones; his daughter, Janice Babineaux of Breaux Bridge; a grandchild, Brandon Charles and spouse Latosha; great grandchildren, Jaspen Charles and Kadence Charles; and his sister, Genevia Pierce. He was preceded in death by parents, Davis and Agnes Sterling Jones; and his sisters, Mary Letha Francis and Laura Jones. Pallbearers will be Albert Menard, Darren Benoit, John Keith, Miguel Babineaux, Richard Lewis, and Elton Charles.
