Bobby Sue Sanders Thurmond

Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Bobby Sue Sanders Thurmond, 75, who passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Louisiana Extended Care.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Bobby was born on July 31, 1948. In her many years as an educator, Bobby Sue touched the lives of countless students with her patience and unwavering dedication. Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom as she nurtured young minds and inspired a love for learning in all those around her.

Bobby Sue found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She could often be found immersed in a good book, cooking for loved ones in her kitchen, or spending quality time with her family. Her culinary skills were legendary among all who had the pleasure of tasting her creations.

As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Bobby Sue's love knew no bounds. She created a warm and welcoming home where love and laughter filled the air. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Bobby Sue Sanders Thurmond will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom that will continue to inspire others for years to come.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles P. Thurmond; son, C. Malcolm Thurmond (Pamela); grandson, Benji Thurmond; and sister, Barbara Sanders White.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Bobby Tracy Sanders; sister, Pat Fenn; and brother, William "Bill" Sanders.
